The competition is open to users worldwide who implement modern adhesive treatment concepts in their practices and laboratories. A panel of expert judges assess the patient cases submitted based on the criteria of esthetics, function, documentation and pre-treatment planning. Submissions will be accepted for work in minimally invasive restorations, in particular inlays, onlays, partial crowns and veneers.
VITA ENAMIC – Efficiency meets tooth preservation
The competition focuses on the PICN block VITA ENAMIC, which enables users to implement minimally invasive restoration concepts with exceptional ease and efficiency. This globally unique polymer-infiltrated ceramic (PICN) combines stability and force-absorbing properties through a dual network structure. The reduced brittleness allows the creation of thin layers, minimal tooth removal during preparation and safe use in everyday dental laboratory and clinical practice. Restorations can be ground down in less than five minutes, are ready for use immediately after polishing and do not require firing. VITA ENAMIC integrates seamlessly into existing CAD/CAM workflows, supporting time-saving and cost-effective processes. Its force-absorbing properties and the ability to manufacture it in thinner layers contribute significantly to long-term tooth preservation and ensure durable, long-lasting results with a minimally invasive approach.
A prestigious award for outstanding achievements
The winner selected by the jury will be awarded an Apple iPad and a cash prize of €2,000, and will also have the option to present their case report live at IDS 2027. The competition also provides an international platform for presenting innovative treatment concepts and promoting professional exchange within the dental industry.
