The safety of our products and the satisfaction of our users are important to us. That's why you will find

safety data sheets for VITA products here, as well as information on
general risks associated with dental treatments,
residual risks associated with product groups in dentistry (such as veneering materials, for example), and where applicable, also
summary of safety and clinical performance (SSCPs) of our medical products.

Please note: In accordance with the Medical Device Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR), the Summary of Safety and Clinical Performance (SSCP) is only issued for Class III and implanted devices. For this reason, you will not find any SSCPs for VITA products in the area of prosthetics (teeth, denture bases and accessories) on this page.

Reporting of Incidents and Safety Issues

The safety of our products is the highest priority for VITA Zahnfabrik. If you become aware of a serious incident, a quality defect, or any other safety-related event in connection with one of our products, we kindly ask you to inform us immediately.

The following are considered serious incidents, in particular events that directly or indirectly:

have led or could lead to death,
have led, could have led, or could lead to a serious deterioration in a person's state of health,
affect patients, users, or third parties.

To process your report, we kindly ask you to provide the following information whenever possible:

Product name
Batch or LOT number
Description of the incident
Date of the incident
Measures already taken (if applicable)

Reporting an incident to VITA does not replace the statutory reporting obligations of economic operators, healthcare institutions, healthcare professionals, or users towards the competent authorities in accordance with the applicable national and international regulations.
