The new VITA AKZENT Plus stains and glazing agents offer unlimited possibilities when it comes to characterization and individualization of ceramic restorations. The new VITA AKZENT Plus materials replace VITA SHADING PASTE and VITA AKZENT from 30.09.2013. A comparison table is available to make the transition easier.
Whether it's fine glazing, coloring, or surface characterization, or shade-mixing during the course of layering, the new product concept implemented for VITA AKZENT Plus stains combines the strengths of VITA AKZENT and VITA SHADING PASTE in one comprehensive new solution package.The new materials are suitable for a broad CTE range of 6.9 to 15.9 as well as for firing temperatures of between 780 to 950 °C. As a result, these are all-purpose materials that are not restricted to a particular manufacturer, and are compatible with all ceramic dental materials.
The new glazing stains (BODY STAINS) can be used for surface staining as well as for internal coloring. The extremely fine-grained, fluorescent masking stains (EFFECT STAINS) offer excellent coverage thanks to the intensive appearance of each shade, and facilitate natural surface effects.
For a silk-matte surface, the FINISHING AGENT is the material of choice. A surface that shines like glass can be achieved using the VITA AKZENT Plus GLAZE glazing agents. For use in the case of ceramics with firing temperatures of up to 800 °C, the new low-melting GLAZE LT is available in addition to the glazing agent.
Depending on the preferred approach during processing and the relevant application, the new stains are available combined as a powder/liquid, and as a paste. Body Stains and Glaze are also available as a spray. Because the sprays are easy to use, they are also ideal for chairside applications in the dental practice.
