VITA Toothguide 3D-MASTER®

With the VITA Toothguide 3D-MASTER, all natural tooth shades can be determined accurately and systematically. Moreover, the VITA BLEACHED SHADE GUIDE now also enables the shades of bleached teeth to be determined accurately and systematically using the same principle as the VITA Toothguide.

Advantages

  1. Tooth shade determination in three steps - Systematic and reliable
  2. Opportunity for comparison, e.g. of lightness level – Yes/no decision
  3. For the first time, it is possible to teach and learn how to determine tooth shades

The yes/no decision

With the VITA Toothguide 3D-MASTER, shade taking is no longer subjective. Shade determination using this tool simply involves three systematic steps that everybody can learn.

Step 1: Lightness (Value)

First, use the top row of teeth on the Toothguide (1M1, 2M1, 3M1, 4M1, 5M1) to determine lightness level, making a simple yes/no decision as to whether the Toothguide tooth matches.

Step 2: Colour Saturation (Chroma)

In the second step, determine the color saturation (chroma) following the same principle by spreading the samples out like a fan.

Step 3: Hue

Finally, check whether the natural tooth is more yellowish (L) or more reddish (R) than the Toothguide sample. By following these three steps you can determine the natural tooth shade faster and reliably.
