VENEERING MATERIAL VITA VM 15

Low-melting ceramic, especially for veneering high expansion alloys

VITA VM 15 was developed as a special, low-melting ceramic for veneering high expansion alloys in the CTE range of 16.0 - 17.3 x 10-6 K-¹.

Using a modified manufacturing process, a new type of ceramic was created. Unlike conventional ceramics, the structure of this ceramic exhibits particularly homogeneous distribution of the crystal and glass phases after firing - the so-called fine-structure, which is the basis of the outstanding material characteristics of VITA VM 15.

Just like for all VITA VM materials, the layering concept of VITA VM 15 is based on natural teeth and therefore differs clearly from all known layering concepts. The color-bearing BASE DENTINE is the main component and hence the decisive material for the reproduction of the tooth shade.
